Please see the items below regarding graduation & other end of the year information:
- Wednesday June 2nd is the last day of classes for the 8th graders 😊
- Thursday June 3rd: 8th graders need to arrive to my classroom by 10:15am and need to wear spirit dress. Graduation rehearsal will take place in the church from 10:30am-12:00pm and afterwards we will walk over to Princess Del Cerro Park for the 8th grade picnic. Students will be receiving their yearbooks at the picnic and we will walk back to school prior to dismissal at 3:05.
- Friday June 4th: 8th grade students do not need to attend school from 8-noon, but all 8th grade graduates must be in my classroom no later than 2:15pm. The dress code for graduation is attached, please re-read it to ensure that your student follows the dress code. The baccalaureate mass & graduation awards ceremony will take place from 3:00-4:30pm in the church. Families are welcome to attend, however please note that there will be no dinner afterwards like we’ve had in previous years.
- Tuesday June 8th: 8th grade graduation trip to Universal Studios – the tickets have already been purchased and students need to be at school by 7:00am. We will be stopping for dinner at Buca di Beppo and will be returning to STA before midnight. Students do not need to wear their uniforms or spirit dress, however they should be dressed appropriately.
Additionally, I am putting together the graduation slide show for our 8th grade class 😊 Please send me 5 or more pictures of your student. The pictures can vary, most families submit pictures that represent milestones in their child’s life (birth, baptism, baby, toddler, first communion, early elementary, later elementary, recent, etc.) and we also welcome any “entire-class” pictures you may have from field trips or other events. Please email pictures to me by next Tuesday June 1st.
Let me know if you have any further questions and have a great day!
